In need of improvement

I bought two pairs of these at the begining of my college career to add to my collection. I was looking for soft-medium mallets that would easily transfer in my playing between wind symphony, solos, marimba band and percussion ensembles. These mallets let me down seeing that i have only used them twice in performances for percussion ensemble in four years. I have had the chance to play with all of the mallets of the Marimba One Collin Currie mallets and they are all front heavy, and produce a very dead and thudding voice from all registers of the keyboard. I would not recomend them until they go through some serious renovations.
