Insanely quick decay, very dark and responsive. A lot of splashes from Zildjian and other companies sound clangy up close. This is just a super quick attack, and gone. The 12" is equally as good, just with a little more body to the sound. These are VERY thin though, so if you are a heavy hitter I would not recommend them. In fact they are so thin that I can make them fully crash with just 1 finger -- awesome for hand percussion sets.
