The Meinl 15" Byzance Vintage Pure Hi-Hats have a dry, direct stick sound. Total stick articulation is present over the dry dark sound of these hi-hats. The "chick" will be instant and cutting.
Byzance Vintage Pure cymbals are created with a process in which the metal becomes very flexible. This metal character gives the series its unique response, and slight deformations may occur at the cymbal's edge. All of these qualities are within Meinl's standards and will not affect the sound. This rustic, imperfect look is intentional and all part of the character of Vintage Pure.
