If you want a super authentic-sounding kanjira, don't spend any more money than this. This drum is perfect. It has really impressive bass, and the jingles are just right - not too loud, but noticeable enough to know they're there. The jingles are very responsive and it's easy to bend the pitch of the drum. I've even used this as a small tom for acoustic percussion setups mounted with a Meinl Frame Drum Holder. This can really add a lot to things like cajon where you don't have a resonant sound in the middle, just kick and snare. Super cool drum, worth the money for sure!
