Description

The Meinl Tabla is a professional level pair of tablas in the time-honored Indian tradition. Multi-ply natural skin heads are secured by metal rings and rawhide verticals. Proper tuning is achieved by adjusting wooden rollers that are fitted under the rawhide verticals.

Size: 5 1/2" and 8 1/2"

These are worse than the cheapest tabla you could pick up in India for $5. These seriously are good for nothing more than decoration. The sound quality on these is HORRIBLE. The skins are absolutely terrible and it is impossible to produce the sounds that are necessary of a tabla. They are very cheaply made and just made to look pretty. Please do not buy these and think that they will be made well just because they are made by a western company. Meinl really has no idea what they are doing when it comes to tabla and they should leave it to the Indians.
