The skin is too loose and can not tighten it to make tighter sound.

MEINL created a new Tambourine that can go anywhere! The TAH3BK-R-TF Touring Tambourine features MEINL's new True Feel synthetic heads. The solid constructed frame on the Touring Tambourine features black plated steel jingles which are high in pitch, bright, and have a good sustain.

The plastic head is much too loose. It sounds more like a frame drum than a Tambourine.
