Burritt-Waking Dreams (SP)

Another of Michael Burritt's great works, Waking Dreams features a marimba soloist with percussion ensemble accompaniment. The second movement can stand on it's own.

Player IV: Shell Shakers (or caixixi), 2 Congas, 6 Bongos, Bass Drum w/Pedal, Tom-Tom, Hi-Hat, Snare Drum, Sizzle Cymbal, Chinese Cymbal, Tam-Tam, Crotale (C) and bow

Player V: Egg Shaker, Claves, 2 octave Crotales, Sleigh Bells, Floor Tom, Splash Cymbal, Djembe

Mr. Burritt received his Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees, as well as the prestigious Performers Certificate from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. His teachers have included John Beck, Gordon Stout, Paul Yancich and Herbert Flower.
