Michael-Jazz Suite (SP)-V/PN

Richard Michael's 3-movement Jazz Suite was composed in 1994 for Colin Currie and Robin Michael. Although the piece is largely specifically notated, the composer's intention was for the piece to draw on these two performer's abilities as improvisers and no two performances are meant to sound alike. There are open sections mixed in with the notated passages, offering ample opportunities for improvisation.
