I am in the grade 9 and I LOVE these mallets. They are exceptional when playing rhythms and tunes on Marimbas and Xylophones (with wider keys.) This is because the mallets are soft and Xylophones with skinny keys or mini-marimbas will not produce a good sound with these mallets. These mallets are very good when you are tying to play with four mallets as a beginner. When you become more advanced I would choose 0 gravity percussion mars series or Marimba One double helix.
