These mallets are great for anyone in large ensembles because they can project well even through a full concert band or symphony orchestra. Tone is bright. Also, they're pretty durable. I've my 25Bs for five years now and use them regularly. Yes, they are a bit frayed, but I have not noticed any decrease in sound quality.
