December Zephyr: The Changing Winds of Winter by Brian L. Monroe is a seasonal piece that is a perfect vehicle for beginning mallet players. Written for four orchestra bells players and one sleigh bells player, the note letters are included in the note heads as a guide, and sticking directions are also included for every note. A Key Exercises section is included in every part to help young players practice the patterns used in the music before starting the music itself, which does incorporate a fair bit of independent playing.
