Description
Csárdás (or "Czardas") by Italian Composer Vittotio Monti has been a long time favorite show piece in the violin repertoire. Written in 1904 this piece is based on the Hungarian folkloric, Czardas. Originally the piece was composed for violin, mandolin or piano. In this case I have arranged it for xylophone or marimba solo with accompaniment. The piece has many mood shifts and is generally performed with rubato. I have always loved this piece's ability to show such a wide range of emotions including strong virtuosic skill to delicate subtleties. This could be a great addition to a concert, and will give equal enjoyment to the performers and audiences.
