GOING WITH YOU for solo percussion is composed in the memory of Michael Bookspan. A contemplative mood is set in beginning with a simple melody from the tubular bells supported with a rain stick. The middle section of the piece utilizes the lyrical side of 6 congas to expand upon the motive set up by the tubular bells.

Rolando Morales-Matos (percussionist) received his BFA in music from Carnegie Mellon University, his MA from Duquesne University, and Certificate of Professional Studies at Temple University. He is a Percussionist and Assistant Conductor with Disney's production of The Lion King, NYC. He is the recipient of the 2006 Drum Magazine World Beat Percussionist of the Year award. He is a professor at both Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, NYC.
