Description

Moto perpetuo by Niccolo Paganini transcribed for marimba by Wolfgang Pachla. This two mallet arrangement fits on a 4.0 octave instrument and includs a variety of preliminary exercises to help the soloist to realize without difficulty the motifs and modulations, the scales, arpeggios and "broken" seventh chords of the piece.

Niccolo Paganini is considered the greatest violin virtuoso of all time, and as such he has exerted a considerable influence on the stylistic development of violin music. In addition to his famous violin concertos and the capricci, he mainly composed bravura pieces for violin, guitar and mandolin which are found in the repertoire of all first class soloists.
