Myraids of Stars by Yukiko Nishimura is a three movement duet for piano and 5-octave marimba. This glittering, shimmery, and sparkling work sounds like space. To express a primitive atmosphere, a unique rhythmic metalwork pattern from Africa is used at the very beginning. Jazz-style motifs, rhythms, and harmonies are found throughout. Duration: 11'30"
