New School for Snare Drum is a beginning to intermediate snare method that focuses on cultivating mastery of subdivision, pulse awareness, and reading skills. The lessons are interspersed with warm ups designed to develop technique at a pace that will promote readiness for rudiments when they are introduced. Solos are appropriate for concert band percussion as well as drumline equipment and are influenced by the rhythmic vocabulary of modern music, creating performance opportunities that are exciting and fun for students.
