Description
New York Tryptich (quartet version) by Gordon Stout was written for the Percussive Arts Society for its 50th anniversary. A tryptich is a set of three pictures or panels, usually hinged so that the two wing panels fold over the larger central one, and is often used as an altarpiece.
Instrumentation:
Marimba 1: 4 mallets, 3.5 octave
Marimba 2: 4 mallets, 4.3 octave
Marimba 3: 4 mallets, 4.5 octave
Marimba 4: 4 mallets, 5.0 octave
