Description
O Voo Da Mosca by Jacob Bittencourt arranged for marimba quartet by Stephen Primatic. Scored for four to six players on three marimbas (two 4.3-octave and one 5-octave) with optional parts for maracas and upright bass/other bass instrument. This piece (which translates to "Flight of the Fly") was Bittencourt's answer to Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. This arrangement captures the essence of the original work beautifully, happily carrying the listener on a Brazilian carnival ride with all the whirling and twirling to be had!
