October Mountain by Alan Hovhaness is a medium-difficult suite for percussion sextet. It was originally written in 1942 but was later revised in 1953. October Mountain is a work that is at times both haunting and beautiful, made possible by the instrumentation chosen by Hovhaness for this work.
