Glorieux-Oriental Dance and Toccata-M

Oriental Dance and Toccata by Francois Glorieux is a four mallet solo scored for 5 octave marimba. This 6 minute solo was an obligatory piece for the international marimba competition in Belgium in 2001. This challenging solo uses a variety of progressive techniques including one handed rolls and striking the edge of the key with the shaft of the mallet.
