How Single Chain and Concentric Cam Affect Feel

Each side of this pedal uses a cast concentric cam driven by a single chain. A concentric (perfectly round) cam keeps the relationship between footboard and beater consistent through the entire stroke, so the pedal feels smooth and predictable. Combined with the single chain's light, quick action, the result is a classic, whippy response that generations of drummers learned on, and that some experienced players still prefer over heavier double-chain feels. Spring tension and beater angle are both adjustable, so you can adjust the rebound and throw to your liking.
