It is perfect for what I needed it for; playing a musical where various triangle pitches/sizes were required, and had to set up in a very cramped area. the Pros: 1) double loops for security (in case one breaks, you got a back up) 2) VERY adjustable. Will fit a variety of sizes of triangles. width adjustable, angle adjustable, tilt, etc. Brilliant design. 3) I LOVE the fact that the little extension rods are removable. This means that you can use it as a single triangle holder, one for 2 triangles, or for 3. ALSO, you can have the extension rods extended only on one side, so you could actually have the triangles oriented with the point facing up rather than down. I had 2 triangles attached, and one extra rod extended on one side that I used to attach a finger cymbal to. Many different options with this guy. Again - great design. 4) You can still hook up the miller machine to this holder, so at least the first triangle can be used with the Miller Machine. I'm sure if you had multiple miller machines, and you got super creative with the adjustments, etc, you could get all three to work with multiple Miller Machines. (especially if you had the 2 triangles in the back hanging with points up, and the triangle in front oriented with the point down) The Cons - 1) When you orient the triangle with the tip facing down, then you are having a nylon contact point on two corners. This does affect the overall resonance of the triangle. But this is true of any triangle holder - not necessarily this particular triangle holder's fault. 2) Depending on how you have it set up, it could be difficult to "roll" with only one hand on the two triangles in the back (not the one nearest the player). The way I got around this was to adjust the tilt of the triangles which allowed me more access to roll with one hand. Still tricky - but doable. Its not perfect, but still allows you to have 3 triangles set up in a very small amount of space (which comes in handy for musicals).
