Pearl's JG16 "Jungle Gig" is a 16" Floor Tom to Bass Drum Conversion Kit. This kit includes the bracket and legs needed for the Bass Drum Conversion. (I.S.S. mount and BT3 bracket NOT included)

The JG-16 Jungle Gig floor tom to bass drum conversion kit allows you to convert virtually any 16" floor tom into a bass drum. Simply attach an I.S.S. unit (NOT INCLUDED) to your existing floor tom hoop, and clamp the JG-16's pedal bracket to the BT-3 bracket (NOT INCLUDED). Insert the included spurs (fits all floor tom leg brackets that accept 3/8" diameter legs) into the floor tom leg brackets, add toms and snare, and an instant Jungle-type drumset is created. There are no holes to drill or special hoops to buy. The JG-16 is easily removed to restore the floor tom to its original state.

I don't even have the "right" floor tom, but the jungle gig works like a charm. I've played tons of gigs with a floor tom on its side; but with the jungle gig, the the pedal beater can hit center of the drum for a much better, controlled sound. This is made for a pearl floor tom, but if you know anything about gas pipe, you can convert it to fit any drum. :)

I recently purchased a jungle gig to convert a 13" tom into an electric bass drum to use with my Alesis DM5. using a mesh head, a mountable trigger and and old unused tom shell, the conversion was made simple and easy using the jungle gig... Email me for pics if you curious!

This kit is great! I used it to convert a 16" Pearl Floor tom into a nice 'mini' kick for small jazz gigs and also just as nice fresh sound for other gigs. Luckily I was able to use the I.S.S mount and BT-3 clamp right of my Visions series kit as you should keep in mind these integral parts are not included. This kit does what it intends to very well and at a very low price!
