Soldiviero-Perception Piece (2S)-P

Perception Piece by Jared Soldiviero is a musical study where each player has a limited number of high and low sounds. Each player listens to a fast metronome click as they play, but the audience perceives that the musicians are playing many different speeds at the same time. Perception Piece sounds almost like a musical "stop-motion" animation, as if the listeners find themselves inside a clock shop where all of the clocks operate at different speeds.

Player 1: tom-toms, semi-resonant brake drums, non-resonant metal plates, woodblocks.

Player 2: congas, non-resonant cow bells, resonant metal pipes, woodblocks or temple blocks.
