Pereira-Come Sopra (SP)-3 guiros

Come Sopra is a solo for one player playing three different kinds of guiro. It was written for a recital of music based on Bach's influence. Composer Joseph Pereira says, "Since I wasn't dealing with real pitches, I created an "implied imaginary melody" heard in the opening bars as if it was the statement of a fugue. this melody and a counter melody are alternated and developed throughout the piece.
