Description
Volemos by Francisco Perez is a percussion ensemble piece inspired by Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms. Commissioned by Nathan Zamora for the Hendrickson High School Percussion Ensemble, the work reflects Perez’s musical roots and his formative years as a student at the same school.
Translating to “let’s fly,” Volemos [bo’lemos] captures the spirit of the Hendrickson Hawks through propulsive grooves, soaring melodic lines, and vibrant ensemble interplay. Its rhythmic drive and textural variety create an exhilarating performance experience that’s both technically engaging and emotionally uplifting.
This piece ships as a fully bound score or as an instant PDF download for printing or tablet viewing. Individual parts come exclusively in PDF format.
