I did this piece with Multiple mallet players, doubling parts. Also, extra rhythm players, shakers, etc. VERY successful. High school age band/orchestra/choir performers in an ensemble of non percussionists. Excellent and entertaining piece. Lead xylophone and marimba parts flashy but easy for intelligent instrumentalists to learn, especially if they have some basic piano skills. Perfect for the budding mallet player in the band. Audience loved it.
