This is a very thorough method book, taking the student systematically through keys and technical exercises to build skill in a way that makes educational sense. What makes this book stand out, though, is that the etudes for each chapter are really musical, so that the student can really flex their interpretation skills with dynamics and phrasing, as well as hold the attention. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This volume has volume, as well as a thorough and thoughtful approach to mastering the vibes - challenging, yet very approachable for new players.

I use this book for my beginning mallet players and it is fantastic. Students get exposed to reading, technique, and musical etudes. Thank you Mitchell Peters!
