I've played vibes since 10 years old this month I turned 67 years old. I have used all kinds Of mallets - I studied with Gary Burton and Dave Samuels at Berklee College of Music in 1971 I am primarily a 4 mallet player have played in clubs radio studio etc. I fell in love with these mallets last December. I was never attached to any particular mallets b4. Currently I play a 1958 set of Degan vibes with skinny keys these mallets sound great - easy to control and the attack is gorgeous.
