All that I'm saying is this stuff is amazing to have on sticks, some people prefer to not use it and are fine with it, and some people don't really need it, but I can definitely say, once you start wrapping your mallets it will be very hard to fight the urge to by this every time you get a new pair

This grip tape is amazing! It works and feels better than the other tapes I've used. This is something I highly reccomend for serious percussionists. The only thing I dont like is the price. Its worth getting, but theyre kind of pricey. It is also important to note they only wrap 2 pairs of mallets.

The condition that plagues all mallet instrument players -- skin irritation and blisters -- is eradicated with the application of mallet wrap. Pro-Mark's Keiko Abe Mallet Wrap fills the bill. It's easy to apply and feels great. The mallets, particularly the outer mallets, feel more secure regardless of your style of grip. It's a must have for performances, rehearsals and practice sessions. I found the amount of finishing tape to be inadequate, but found suitable substitutes. Nevertheless this is a great product.

I love these wraps man. They are grippy so if you're a player like me and the mallet starts slipping out of your hand during the middle of a piece you'll like these. I've had friends use tennis wrap as well and that seems to work for them, i only use these on the outside mallets though. I'd buy a pair for your favorite pair of mallets, but i'd use them on different pairs of 4 mallets, because with mallets 2 and 3 it's really not needed

Much more comfortable compared to your regular athletic tape. More rubbery and shock absorbing as compared to rough. Still debating if it was worth the price. if you use one set constantly its great. But for all sets, not so much.
