Quondam Reflections by Gordon Stout was commissioned by the James Madison University Percussion Commissioning Project and is dedicated to the JMU percussion studio. This almost song-like solo is written for five octave marimba and was premiered by Michael Overman in November 2011.

Gordon's output of great literature in the past 10 years is impressive. And yet, he doesn't write bad stuff. This piece is one of his best in my opinion and I will add to my repertoire in the near future. This is one of hundreds of reasons why Gordon Stout is in the PAS Hall of Fame.
