Good deal. Very helpful.
I purchased this CD thinking it would be a good stand-in for a pianist when doing a concert or clinic. The tracks are basically sequenced midi files likely created on Sibelius or Finale and are about as sterile, in terms of feel, as you would expect the "swing" rhythmic setting on one of those programs would produce. While the idea of the practice tempo/track is good for preparation, the click track during solo breaks keeps going on the performance-tempo tracks as well, making it seem like there was no thought of using these for a more professionally produced performance. After all, a good player would have no problem keeping time for 6-8 beats. Also, because most of the tape-accompaniment and play-along work done these days is much more easily done via iPod/mp3 player, I found it disappointing, possibly because of the labeling decal, that the cd did not allow for mp3 extraction. Perhaps a future version of the CD could be a mixed-mode disc with audio playing and data storage capability (very easy to do). Bottom line: Pick this up if you want to help a young student learn how to play with accompaniment in an accessible setting or to have something to practice along with, but do not think of this as an adequate replacement for a live accompanist in concert.
