Galactic Novae for organ and percussion (1 player) by Gardner Read includes two scores. This work is designed for a large three-manual instrument with both the Swell and Choir divisions enclosed. A Crescendo pedal is also obligatory. A very playable multi-percussion part comprised of pitched and non-pitched metal instruments complements the sustaining qualities of the organ sounds and a lack of difficult performance problems makes this work fun for both players.
