Description
Remembering Belem by Ricardo A. Coelho de Souza is a four mallet solo scored for 4.3 octave marimba. This piece is a student composition done by Souza in 1994. At the time he was studying Bela Bartok's music in composition class. This solo is the result of Souza's incorporation of Brazilian dance rhythms along with the required assignment to compose an arch-form piece. A challenging solo for college level players.
