Life’s Essence is an innovative piece for solo steel pan that explores emotions as we travel through the journey of life. In life we have our many ups and downs, but in the end we are promised only two things that make us all the same – life and death. This piece explores the beauty as well as the hardships of our humanity. The ebb and flow of sounds takes you through the many contrasting emotions of life; the feelings of happiness and sadness, joy and fear, uncertainty, anger, and relief.
