Farr-Rings (SP)-Amplified cyms/Digital delay

Rings by Craig Farr is a unique solo written for amplified cymbals and digital delay. This 16 minute piece consists of four movements and a cadenza called the Subring. Each movement must be played once, but may be played in any order. The cadenza must be played between two of the movements.

Instruments Required:

Three small suspended cymbals

Three medium suspended cymbals

Three large suspended cymbals

Two hi-hats

One pair of hand held toy cymbals

One "trash pedal"

One "snake" or "cymbal tree"

One set of "ring chimes" (rings or cymbals, hanging freely, colliding randomly when activated)
