Richard Rogers wrote "Lover in the thirties for the film "Love Me Tonight", starring Maurice Chevalier. The flowing melody of this beautiful waltz was instantly popular. This arrangement was made in 1972 when Charles Owen came to the University of Michigan to head the Percussion department.
