As a long time fan of Rogers Drums, I was excited to see this attractive looking re-issue of a Rogers branded hi-hat. I gambled 129 bucks, buying it online without first seeing and trying an actual unit. Visually, it is pretty. I like the swan legs, foot board design and cool thumb screws. Performance wise I would describe it as perfectly "adequate." It reminds me of an older Ludwig Spur-loc hi-hat from the 1970s. The new Rogers brand-name holders tout its light weight construction but a more honest description would have been "flimsy." It is also described as "low profile" which is another name for "short." Just barely high enough for my comfort. The foot board angle and height is not adjustable and the spring tension adjustment offers no apparent change in feel. This hi-hat compares favorably with off-brand Asian made hi-hats in the 60 to 75 dollar range.
