Like always buying anything from Steve Weiss Music is a pleasure; there are things in the drumming world you can only get from them. As for the Rohema fluffy dampener; they make your drums sound quite differently from gel pieces or leather based dampeners. Specially on snares, they allow for the drum to breathe just the right amount of resonance. I think these fluffy dampeners don't cut as much the mid frequencies that other methods do. They really have a sound of their own. I'm very happy I bought two of them.
