Rush-Nature's Course(S/T)-M-

Nature's Course is a three-movement solo work for 4.5-octave marimba and electronic accompaniment by Stephen Rush (b. 1958). The three movements offer contrasting characters and styles. The first movement, Winds, is free in form with many ascending runs in the marimba part. The second, Breezes, is more structured, metered in 12/8 and later 3/4 with flowing eighth notes throughout. The third movement, Furies, features a heavy rock groove driving the accompaniment track while the marimba solos over the top.
