Diaz-Sakpata (SPCD)-X/2M/P/Choir/CD

Sakpata by Javier Diaz. is a piece for percussion ensemble with tape and choir. The focus of this piece is on combining Afro-Cuban chants and prayers with modern percussion instruments. Although the piece is through-composed, it strives to preserve the spontaneity and freedom characteristic of Afro-Cuban music.
