Description
Get In (the 2nd) Line by Robert Sanderl is a challenging and groovy multipercussion solo with advanced rudimental snare drum components inspired by the "second line" style of drumming from New Orleans. Second line music come from the funeral processions in New Orleans where the life of the deceased is celebrated in parade form with music while the mourners accompany the casket to the cemetery.
Get In (the 2nd) Line challenges the performer to maintain a fluid and stylistic feel while executing advanced rudimental skills and drum set-inspired coordination between the hands and foot.
