good but rattan issues

if you like mallets such as the malletech jc16 or the ip rs251, I think you would like the whole big mama line. I would say the clears are like the jc16 but with more of a fundamental tone and a more usable low dynamic sound. these are heavy but still a managble weight. I have two issues though, one: if you play on non graduated bars the mallet head size is somewhat terrible for four mallets. additionally, watch out for the flex on the rattan. one mallet I received had an unacceptable amount of rattan flex. when you have mallets this heavy, you need stiff rattan or else it will feel like your playing with a catapult. unfortunately, malletech is still the only brand that has always given me good rattan.
