Description
Sea Monkey by Sarah Gibson is the first place PAS 2010 contest winner. This two movement piece for cello and marimba is meant to depict the life cycle of brine shrimp. When released into a prepared aquarium, brine shrimp leave their cryptobiotic state and emerge into the water. The two movements are titled "Cryptobiosis" and "Instant-Life".
