Shelton - Friday's Cascara - M

Based on the 3:2 cascara rhythm, Friday's Cascara by Mark Sheltonemploys three different mallets to bring a variety of timbres from the marimba. Both the bars and frame of the instrument are played as the cascara and forward son clave are "drummed" on the marimba. A crowd pleaser--both sonically and visually!
