Description

Designed for performance situations, the SKB Percussion Case features reinforced mallet/stick holsters, specifically engineered to stay open during performance for easy accessibility. A detachable mallet/stick holder can hang on a marimba, vibes, music stand or anywhere else percussionists need immediate access to their tools. A fabric covered removable work surface/trap table offers another convenient feature for performance applications.

Measuring 19" x 14" x 8" with wheels and a two-stage pull handle, the SKB percussion case offers the very best solution for transport and protection of percussion-related items. The protection offered by the SKB Percussion Case is impressive. Internal straps secure mallets during transport. It also features SKB's proprietary TSA recognized and accepted lock latches, enabling users to safely lock the cases and still have them inspected by airline security personnel. SKB is the only case manufacturer to utilize this technology.

In addition, the case is completely air-tight and water-tight, and it features a 2-way pressure valve to prevent vapor lock during air travel. Storage space is available behind the mallet/stick holder in the lid for music and the removable trap table.

I've had this case for over a year now. I couldn't be happier with it! Fits all accessories that I could ever need and a TON of music as well. Only complaint I have is having to do with the weight. Though on the heavy side, it will protect your equipment from anything!!

I was luckY enough to have the prototype of this case. I put it through 2 years of orchestra/church performances, multi-percussion workshops, clinics/tours with my duo, in the minivan with the big hardware case, and in the airport with TSA. THIS CASE WORKS and WILL HOLD UP. Jerry and Steph really did listen on this case. There are more improvements with the current design that are being considered. This case can handle the business of protecting your sticks, mallets, music, and small accessories that you don't want crushed in the side of a cymbal or stick/mallet bag.

A must-have for the auditioning percussionist! This is the most unquestionably solid case available. It's a little heavy, but I would take that over a canvas bag in a heartbeat. If you're auditioning or doing a lot of freelance work, this is the case for you.
