Kuzell-Sonata for Marimba-M

Sonata for Marimba by Christopher Kuzell is a virtuoso piece in a large sonata form exploring the many possible tonal, technical and melodic capabilities of the marimba. Scored for 4.3 octave marimba, four mallets.

The first movement is in sonata-allegro form with a slow introduction section. The second movement, in a free form, is improvisatory in style. The third movement is similar to the old 17th century rondeau form.
