Henderickx-Sonatine (SP)-V/X/4T/P/PN

Sonatine for percussion and piano by Wim Henderickx. Each of the three movements in this piece explore different musical and technical qualities. The first movement Allegro for four timpani, crash cymbal, and piano is characterized by many meter changes. The second movement Lento-Assai/Allegro was composed for vibraphone, xylophone, and piano. The first section has a lyrical, impressionistic character, the second section is light and sparkling. The third movement Allegro-Marcato was written for drums and piano. This movement is strongly influenced by jazz and pop music.
