Cheung-Sonata in c, Vitanata-M

Sonata in c "Vitanata" by Pius Cheung was written in 2005 for the composer's performance at the Fifth International Marimba Festival in Mexico where the work was premiered. "Vita" is Latin for life. This piece is programmatic, not in the sense of there being a story behind it, but that it depicts the essence of journey of life as seen by Cheung. The entire piece is based on one short motive which circles around the interval of a third. Written for 5 Octave Marimba.
