Metzger-Spiral Passages-M

Spiral Passages by Jon Metzger is a four mallet solo scored for 4.5 octave marimba (low F). This solo successfully integrates several styles of music into one piece. Metzger's jazz background helps to infuse the improvisatory elements in the piece, while his keen sense of musical form and direction round out the classical side. Nathan Daughtrey recorded this piece on his CD, "Spiral Passages".
